Has a curing power in insect bites. In case of  swelling of foot  as a result of walking ; salty plantain should be placed on the foot overnight. The curing effect of the fluid of plantain on tuberculosis is known since very old times. Also provides a quick healing in case of fever. But the most important feature is curing property in injuries and ability  to stop bleeding. The sugary extracts prepared by boiling the  leaves and roots  or from fresh leaves used internally and externally  for treatment of  chronic  flu , eyes , tuberculosis  and also used against asthma.

PREPARATION:  Take  some plantain and wash the leaves ,dry them with clothes , extract the water by pressing and by adding same amount of  sugar or honey in it; cook in a stewpot  for 30 min by mixing continuously. Put the  syrup into glass  containers while hot and close them properly. This can be kept for a year..
