BLACKBERRY LEAF

Rubus fruticosus

200 species are known by botanists. The leaves ,that has strings on underside, has the same effects with raspberries. Tanning material and fruit acid containing young leaves are picked up on May-June; and the fruits are harvested on August-September. The tea prepared from the leaves cleans blood and strengthens the constitution of body. (1-2 table spoons of leaves are used for one bowl of water and 1-2 bowls must be supped everyday.) Used for blood cleaning, diarrhoea, gastritis, gastroenteritis, gout disease and  excessive regl bleedings. The tea is used externally by gargling for mouth, throat and gingival inflammations.
